Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical training to case manager, supports coordinator, and therapy staff, including:
    • Completion of clinical documents including but not limited to annual packets, initial pre-planning, IPOS/treatment plan, and quarterlies
    • Completion of advanced clinical documents including but not limited to authorizations, respite referrals, multinomahs, community living support requests, and psychosocial assessment reviews
    • Oversight and instruction for job-shadowing
    • Education of proper process for engaging and developing relationships with consumers
    • Due diligence
  • Report performance issues of new case managers/ therapist  to clinical supervisors
  • Participate in the corrective action planning process
  • Assist in the recruiting, interviewing and hiring of program staff including case managers and therapists
  • Coordinate with director, assistant director, and clinical supervisors to improve site-specific documentation and training
  • Provide case management and/or therapy services to the “unseen” or “underserved” clients
  • Provide case management/therapy services to walk-in clients, as needed
  • Carry caseload as needed
  • Provide mentoring and ongoing training for clinical staff
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned
  • Cross train as needed based on clinic need
  • Attend required  meetings as assigned
  • Coordinate verification of clinical trainings with the HR department

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Working telephone
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Pass all regulatory checks
  • Possess reliable transportation
  • Possess at least Master’s Degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
  • Must be licensed by the State of Michigan with QMHP, QIDP, and CMHP credentials
  • Ability to acknowledge diagnoses per symptomatology and/or DSM 5
